ARTBA’s Southern Regional meeting, online Nov. 9-10, will explore the future of transportation public-private partnerships (P3s) and construction robots. ARTBA Chairman Steve McGough and Southern Region Vice Chairman Jeff Nelson, president of David Nelson Construction in Florida, are hosting the virtual meeting on an interactive platform that allows attendees to see and speak to each other.

The 2:30 p.m. Eastern, first day P3 panel hosted by Plenary’s Sia Kusha includes:

  • Charlie Kilpatrick, vice president, Lane Construction;
  • David Spector, director – infrastructure advisory, KPMG;
  • Tom Stoner, vice president, Lochner; and
  • Chuck Wall, partner, Seyfarth Shaw LLP.

At 3:30 p.m. Eastern, Steve Muck, co-founder and CEO of Advanced Construction Robotics, and Carson Carney, vice-president of sales and technology integration at the affiliated TyBot, will discuss “Taking the Next Steps with Construction Robots.” See the similarly headlined ARTBA Transportation Builder story about this topic.

The forward-looking theme of this meeting continues at 2 p.m. Eastern, Nov. 10, when WSP Vice President & National Aviation Planning Manager John Van Woensel presents “Planning for Future Airport Infrastructure in the Midst of an Aviation Crisis.” South Carolina Department of Transportation Secretary Christy Hall will deliver a keynote address 30 minutes earlier, and ARTBA senior staff also will provide transportation construction market, policy, and regulatory updates.
