Two White House officials will discuss how the Trump administration has reduced regulations on the transportation construction industry and the rest of the economy during the Sept. 28 Transportation Officials Division (TOD) meeting.

The virtual session begins at 1 p.m. Eastern. It is the first of six online ARTBA division meetings in advance of the Oct. 19-21 virtual National Convention. Find registration links for all these events at the ARTBA homepage. The division meetings are free and open to all ARTBA members.

Special Assistant to the President and White House Chief Economist for the National Economic Council Joe Lavorgna, and Assistant to the President and White House Director of Intergovernmental Affairs Doug Hoelscher, will address the TOD session.

The administration has modernized the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), updated the federal “Hours of Service” rule for truck drivers, and rewritten the nation’s wetlands regulations, among other measures, to help industry steamline project development.
