By Nick Goldstein, vice president of regulatory & legal issues, ARTBA

The U.S. Department of Transportation (U.S. DOT) has launched a new website deigned to provide access to all of the agency’s guidance documents. The “Guidance Portal” was created in response to a 2019 executive order requiring federal agencies to make guidance documents readily accessible in one online location, and to be sure they are kept up-to-date.

The new website contains a searchable database of all active guidance documents for U.S. DOT’s nine operating administrations. It will help ARTBA’s efforts to monitor regulatory activity by the agency directly impacting our membership.
