Workforce development, federal and state transportation funding, emerging technologies, and project risk are among the featured topics at ARTBA’s regional meetings through Nov. 14. These meetings are great opportunities to hear informative presentations from key public agency and private sector leaders, and to network with industry peers.

This year’s regionals began Oct. 23-24, with over 60 people attending the Northeastern meeting in Philadelphia. One of the main panels discussed risk assessment, project scheduling and payment processes. The meeting also featured a workforce development panel, co-hosted with Women’s Transportation Seminar Philadelphia, and discussions about issues in the region with state transportation executives.

Mark Compton, CEO at the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission, gave the keynote address. Additional presentations included legislative and regulatory affairs updates and a regional market report from senior ARTBA staff.

The three remaining regional meetings: Southern & Dr. J. Don Brock TransOvation® Workshop, Oct. 28-29, in Miami; Central, Nov. 6-7, in Kansas City; and Western, Nov. 13-14, in San Antonio. To register and for more information, visit: Please contact me with any questions.
