The biennial National Work Zone Management Conference will be held Sept. 22-24, 2020, in Herndon, Va.

The event, which is hosted by the ARTBA Foundation-managed National Work Zone Safety Information Clearinghouse, is a great opportunity to share best practices and perspectives from public and private partners. The meeting’s focus is to help reduce worker fatalities and injuries in roadway construction sites while improving traffic management.

The 2020 agenda is being developed, but will likely include updates on how the proprietary products rule repeal is being implemented by agencies and industry. It also will include the latest information about the Safety Certification for Transportation Project Professionals™ (SCTPP) program, and ARTBA’s other safety training and education offerings.

In 2018, the conference featured top officials from the Federal Highway Administration and Virginia Department of Transportation, plus a special workshop on work zone data.

The 2020 conference is looking for sponsors and exhibitors. Please contact me with any questions. Watch for registration and other details in the new year.
