ARTBA member firm and construction software company HCSS created the “Construction Intern Awards” program in 2015 to recognize the great work that students do while interning in the construction industry, and to provide scholarships to those deserving students to further their education. The fun and popular annual competition highlights the best student interns and the contractors with the best internship programs in the U.S. and Canada and provides $50,000 in scholarships.
A panel of industry executives, including ARTBA Senior Vice Chairman and HCSS President & CFO Steve McGough and former ARTBA CEO Pete Ruane, judge the awards, which are distributed weekly during July and August. A $10,000 grand prize portion of the contest remains open until the end of September.
Eligible internships include any construction internship of at least two months in length that occurred between January and August each year. Applicants must be planning to attend a college, university, or trade school. More information on the awards program is available on the HCSS website and its social media accounts.
