The Occupational Safety & Health Administration’s (OSHA) temporary enforcement policy for crane operator evaluation requirements are set to expire April 15.

In February, in response to feedback from the construction industry that some employers need more time to document the evaluations of crane operators, OSHA in offered 60 days of compliance assistance, in lieu of enforcement, for employers who are making good faith efforts to comply with the new requirements.

OSHA will fully enforce all applicable provisions of the comprehensive regulations issued in November starting in two weeks.
