Bettini

Michele Bettini, an experienced construction industry advocate, is the new executive director of the Arizona Transportation Builders Association (ATB), ARTBA’s Tuscon-based chapter in the Grand Canyon State.

A Tucson native, Bettini previously served as president & CEO of the Arizona Construction Trades (ACT), a trade association representing specialty contractors and suppliers in vertical construction. Earlier in her career, she managed the Rio Nuevo Multipurpose Facilities District, a municipal stadium and special taxing district dedicated to improving Tucson’s downtown area.

Bettini, who took the helm Jan. 14, said she plans to focus on growing infrastructure investment on all levels, as well as working with ATB members on workforce development initiatives.

ATB has been affiliated with ARTBA since 2002, when it was known as the Tucson Utility Contractors Association. Membership includes more than 100 businesses and organizations in Southern Arizona. Among other accomplishments, the association has been a strong advocate for successful, local transportation ballot measures in recent years.
