Two distinguished industry leaders have joined the Safety Certification for Transportation Project Professionals™ (SCTPP) program’s Certification Commission. The independently appointed body was established by the ARTBA Foundation with sole responsibility for the governance of the certification program and related certification decisions.
Bryan Stone, safety director at Superior Construction Company Southeast, earned the SCTPP certificate in 2016 and assisted in the creation of the program as a subject matter expert. Since 2005, he has implemented and managed company-wide safety, fleet, and drug-free workplace programs at the Jacksonville, Fla.,-based heavy-civil and transportation contractor. He received the ARTBA Contractor Safety Award in 2013, 2015, and 2018; the Florida Transportation Builders Association Outstanding Safety Record, 2010-2018; and the University of South Florida OTI Sunshine State Safety Award in 2010.
Donald E. Stanfield is a construction industry specialist at Liberty Mutual Insurance in metropolitan Atlanta and across all southeastern states. He has over 30 years of experience in heavy civil construction; highway and bridge building, air and ground transportation safety systems, project management, loss control consulting and underwriting risk assessment. He is a Certified Safety Professional.
Ross Myers, CEO & chairman of Pennsylvania-based Allan Myers, and David Walls, president & CEO of Texas-based Austin Industries, are co-chairmen of the Certification Commission.
