Louis Berger July 23 named 2014 ARTBA Chairman Nick Ivanoff to its board of directors. Ivanoff is the executive vice president of Louis Berger’s U.S. transportation market segment. For more than 20 years, he was the president and CEO of Ammann & Whitney, which merged with Louis Berger in 2016. Ivanoff, a registered engineer in 21 states, was appointed to the nine-member board along with James Bach and Thomas Lewis after the retirement of board chair Dr. Ernest Portfors, the company said.
Ivanoff’s more than decade-long ARTBA volunteer leadership positions also include serving as senior vice chairman, first vice chairman, Northeastern Region vice chairman, two‐term president of the International Affairs Advisory Council chairman, Trans2020 Task Force co-chair, and two‐term president of the Planning & Design Division. He is on the ARTBA board of directors and a trustee on the ARTBA Foundation board. His service to ARTBA was recognized in 2005 with the “Guy Kelcey Award,” which honors outstanding leadership to the P&D Division.
