ARTBA Vice President of Services & Technology Michael Sakata on July 2 will assume the role of president of the Maryland Transportation Builders & Materials Association (MTBMA), ARTBA’s state chapter affiliate based in Glen Burnie. He concluded his 16-year tenure with ARTBA on June 15.
In his new position, Sakata will lead the MTBMA’s advocacy, education and training, and events/meetings activities.
In 2017, Trending40.com recognized him as one of its “Top Association & Non-Profit Innovators” for executives under 40 years old. Sakata also currently serves as first vice chairman of “The Road Gang,” a fraternal group of public officials and private sector executives involved in transportation infrastructure policy issues in Washington, D.C.
ARTBA wishes him well in his new post.
