There is still time to register for the 7th Annual Dr. J. Don Brock “TransOvation® Workshop” & Northeastern regional meeting, Nov. 8-9 in Boston, and the Central regional meeting, Nov. 14-16 in Indianapolis.

TransOvation® will focus on urban mobility and smart cities. The keynote speaker is Carlo Ratti, an architect and engineer by training. He directs the Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s (MIT’s) “Senseable City Laboratory” and is a leading voice on new technologies’ impact on urban life.

At the Central meeting, the featured workshop is Autonomous Vehicles & Impact on Infrastructure Development. Attendees are also encouraged to attend the co-located Indiana Constructors Membership Meeting on Nov. 16.

With last month’s ARTBA national convention in Florida cancelled due to Hurricane Irma, the regional meetings provide an opportunity to hear the latest about federal funding (Highway Trust Fund fix and Trump administration infrastructure package) and regulatory news from Washington, D.C., plus excellent opportunities to network with other industry professionals.

Top state DOT officials are also addressing important regional developments at each meeting. See separate stories for coverage of the just-concluded Western and Southern regional meetings.
