As part of his ongoing effort to spur economic growth, President Donald Trump is requiring all federal agencies to establish a regulatory reform task force. The panels must seek input from the regulated community, including trade associations, according to his Feb. 24 executive order.

The order also requires all agencies to designate a “Regulatory Reform Officer” (RRO) within 60 days to monitor compliance with the administration’s ongoing efforts to cut red tape.

ARTBA will closely monitor the establishment of the regulatory task forces at key agencies and reach out to the RROs, once they are designated, to discuss issues impacting the transportation construction industry.
