Rep. Donald M. Payne, Jr. (D-N.J.): First elected to Congress in 2012, his district includes Essex, Hudson and Union counties, including Newark, where he previously was a city councilman. He serves on the T&I Committee’s Aviation and Railroads, Pipelines, and Hazardous Materials subcommittees. He attended Kean College. http://payne.house.gov/.
Sen. Jerry Moran (R-Kan.): Prior to joining the Senate in 2010, he served seven terms in the House, where he was a member of the T&I Committee. He has worked on highway, aviation and railway issues as a member of the Senate’s Commerce, Science and Transportation Committee.
