ARTBA’s Dr. J. Don Brock TransOvation™ Workshop is a month away: Dec. 7-9 in Chattanooga, Tennessee. But the deadline to make a reservation in the room block at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Chattanooga Downtown is approaching even quicker—Nov. 8.

This year’s TransOvation™ will take place at the Astec Industries J. Don Brock Training Center in Chattanooga. The workshop will address real barriers to innovation and opportunities for the U.S. transportation design & construction industry. Attendees will explore the intersection of new technology, infrastructure & public policy under the theme of How Can We Move Freight More Productively to Give America the Competitive Edge?

TransOvation brings some of the brightest minds in transportation design, construction and management together with major business leaders for a one-of-a-kind interactive learning event that fosters innovative thinking. At this year’s workshop, “super-users” of the transportation infrastructure network will explore new challenges and opportunities.

Featured speakers and topics include:

  • Astec, Inc. President Malcolm Swanson on “A Strategy and Enabling Innovations for the Future of Roads in the U.S.”
  • Hyperloop One Vice President of Strategic Communications Bruce Upbin on “Hyperloop and The Hyperefficient Port.”
  • UPS Senior Vice President of Transportation Policy Thomas F. Jensen on “A ‘Super User’s’ Perspective on Emerging Trends, Challenges & Opportunities in Goods Movement.”
