The annual Dr. J. Don Brock “TransOvation™ Workshop”, Dec. 7-9 at Astec Industries in Chattanooga, Tennessee, will explore how new technologies and a national freight program can improve the U.S. transportation system for shipping and logistics.

Topics and key speakers include:

  • A Strategy and Enabling Innovations for the Future of Roads in the U.S., Malcolm Swanson, president, Astec, Inc.
  • Hyperloop & The Hyper-Efficient Port, Bruce Upbin, vice president, strategic communications, Hyperloop One
  •  A Super-User’s Perspective on U.S. Transportation Infrastructure Shipping & Logistics Challenges, Thomas F. Jensen, senior vice president, transportation policy, UPS

TransOvation is a unique opportunity to learn from, and collaborate with, other industry leaders in the exciting new world of rapidly changing technologies and transportation developments.  This year’s event is being held at the Dr. J. Don Brock Training Center, named in honor of the Astec founder, who secured more than 100 patents before he passed away in 2015. Brock was a 2013 inductee in the ARTBA Transportation Development Foundation’s Hall of Fame.

Attendees will participate in an engaging workshop so that they can take ideas from this year’s event and bring them back to their workplace.  We encourage you to attend or consider sending “rising stars” from your firm. Seating is limited for this interactive event so act soon.  For registration, sponsorship and hotel information, visit www.transovation.org, or contact me at aklein@artba.org with questions.
