ARTBA Central Region Vice Chair Steve McGough of HCSS and the members of the Central Leadership Team (CLT) will host a conference call at 2 p.m., Central, April 6. Richard Hedgecock, the new CEO of ARTBA’s Indiana chapter, will brief participants on recent activity in the state.

He will address the transportation funding bills signed March 23 by Gov. Mike Pence (R). Hedgecock will also share his views on industry issues in Arkansas, where he worked previously at the state’s AGC chapter.

Nick Goldstein, ARTBA’s vice president of regulatory affairs and assistant general counsel, will update everyone on ARTBA’s litigation program.  Current efforts include challenges to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Waters of the United States (WOTUS) rule and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s new silica regulation.  A third key case is Dunnet Bay v. Blankenhorn, in which ARTBA is helping protect the right of contractors to challenge state DOTs who politicize federal hiring rules.

The conference call is open to any ARTBA member.  The call-in number is 1-877-535-2644. The conference ID number is 7505908586#
