The federal Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) is proposing to require larger contractors to provide additional information as part of the EEO-1 form. Currently, firms working on federal-aid transportation projects must report data reflecting the ethnicity, race, and gender of their employees. The EEOC’s proposal would require contractors with 100 or more employees to report employees’ salary and number of hours worked as well. This was recently announced as part of the Obama Administration’s efforts to promote pay equity.

The EEOC is accepting comments on this proposal until April 1.  ARTBA will be submitting comments, and urges interested chapters and members to participate in this process as well.

To help ARTBA formulate its own submission to the EEOC, we would appreciate your response to this short survey. Please make sure to complete the survey by 5 p.m., Eastern Time, on Tuesday, March 29.

All responses will be kept confidential and not attributed to the participant.  Thank you for your assistance!
