The 2015 ARTBA Convention in Philadelphia is less than two weeks away, but there’s still plenty of time to register: www.artbanationalconvention.org.  Advanced registration is highly recommended, but it is possible to sign up on-site at the Hilton Penn’s Landing, Sept. 29-Oct. 1.

The program is chocked-full of substance and some fun.  It includes briefings from senior ARTBA staff on the status of the Senate and House surface transportation bills, a federal regulatory update, a transportation construction market conditions report, and a sneak peek at the 2016 economic forecast.

We also have a panel of industry “heavy hitters” who will be sharing their views on the “State of the U.S. Transportation Construction Industry.”  They’ll also be fielding any questions you may have during this interactive session.  Among the speakers:

  • Matt Cummings, executive vice president, AECOM
  • Ross Myers, CEO, Allan Myers
  • Jim McEvoy, president & CEO, Wirtgen America
  • Ray Bond, president & CEO, Balfour Beatty Infrastructure
  • Jean Vidal, president & CEO, Colas USA
  • John DiCiurcio, CEO, Flatiron Construction Corp.

On Sept. 30, Penn DOT officials will conduct a briefing and then lead an optional project tour on the reconstruction of I-95.

The Oct. 1 program features a special luncheon to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of the ARTBA Foundation and includes the induction of the 2014 and 2015 Transportation Development Hall of Fame classes.  CNN host Michael Smerconish, a Philadelphia native and “New York Times” best-selling author, will be the guest speaker.

The convention concludes that evening with the Chairman’s Banquet to honor the incoming ARTBA Chairman David Zachry, the chief executive officer of San Antonio-based Zachry Corp.  Collins Key, a finalist on last year’s NBC TV show “America’s Got Talent,” will be providing the entertainment with magic tricks that will leave you wondering, “How did he do that?”

Contact ARTBA Vice President of Meetings Ed Tarrant, or 202-289-4434 with any questions or to join the growing list of convention sponsors.

ARTBA looks forward to seeing you in the City of Brotherly Love!
