ARTBA’s Transportation Development Foundation (ARTBA-TDF) is offering a free webinar from 2- 3 p.m., EDT, June 2 to explain how to navigate its new online learning platform for safety professionals, traffic engineers and roadway construction workers.

Under a contract with the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), ARTBA-TDF has provided specialized, in-person safety training for more than 50,000 transportation construction industry professionals over the past 10 years. Now, ARTBA-TDF has taken key components of that classroom content, added a wide range of new material on key topics, and created an online platform for safety professionals to access 24/7 from the convenience of their desktop computers.

Available courses include:  temporary traffic control set up, sight distances in work zones, developing internal traffic control plans, developing transportation management plans for work zones, work zone safety and mobility improvement strategies, temporary traffic control devices, and fundamentals of work zone safety for seasonal and temporary workers, and more.

Rod Wolford and Beth Larson, two award-winning and nationally-acclaimed safety education designers, are the webinar presenters. They are partners in Washington, D.C.-based FOF Communications, an informational design and management company with more than 20 years of experience in research and data management and in production of print, video, DVD, and web-based products.  In collaboration with ARTBA, FOF is the principal designer and developer of the new online learning site.
