ARTBA President Pete Ruane March 18 urged participants at the World of Asphalt trade show in Baltimore to “call Congress to solve the Highway Trust Fund problem and renew surface transportation long-term.”

Ruane joined Dennis Slater, president of the Association of Equipment Manufacturers; Mike Johnson, president of National Stone, Sand and Gravel Association; and Michael M. Cote, chairman of the National Asphalt Pavement Association in a “call-to-action” rally to engage industry professionals on the importance of the nation’s transportation infrastructure and the need to find a permanent solution for the trust fund.
