The ARTBA-Foundation will host its milestone 20th Annual Young Executive Development Program (YEDP) April 13-15 in the Nation’s Capital.

With more than 550 graduates from 200 companies, state contractor groups and public agencies, the YEDP is an intensive, two-and-half day “101 Introduction to Federal & State Advocacy for Transportation Infrastructure Market Development and Protection.” It provides rising leaders in the transportation construction and development sector with a solid understanding of industry economics… how transportation work in the U.S. is funded and financed… how actions by the federal government impact the industry… and how they—and their company or agency—can become politically engaged to help shape transportation policy.

Held in conjunction with ARTBA’s annual Federal Issues Program (FIP) and Transportation Construction Coalition (TCC) Fly-In, YEDP fellows will have the opportunity to meet with their members of Congress about the need to fix the Highway Trust Fund and pass a long-term highway and transit investment bill.

Applications are welcome from any sector of the transportation design and construction industry, including private sector firms, government agencies, and colleges and universities. ARTBA membership is not required to participate.

Applications can be completed online. Deadline is March 6, 2015. Questions? Contact ARTBA’s Alex Frick at 202.289.4434.
