ARTBA member firm Volvo Construction Equipment (Volvo CE) was recently presented with the “Jobs First Award” by Pennsylvania Governor Tom Corbett (R) and the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development for the company’s consistent job growth and retention in the Keystone State over the past two years.
“Today, we honor the men and women who spend countless hours providing the leadership and care that it takes to run a successful and growing business,” Gov. Corbett said during the awards ceremony. “This recognition goes beyond the contributions made to Pennsylvania’s diverse and vibrant economy. These awards celebrate Pennsylvanians who embody the American dream by taking risks, working hard and achieving success.”
Vovlo CE employees approximately 1,000 people in the Shippensburg, Pa., area, where it produces more than 50 different models of construction equipment including, wheel loaders, asphalt pavers, soil and asphalt compactors, milling machines and motorgraders.
