The ARTBA P3 Division’s free Feb. 8 webinar will help participants understand the role and importance of equity in long-term infrastructure projects, especially those with a Design-Build-Finance-Operate-Maintain (DBFOM) structure.

Expert presenters will help answer:

  • How has the “typical” capital stack in these projects evolved over the past decade?
  • What are the impacts of the strategy to “buy down” the cost of capital in DBFOM projects by providing large public sector contributions during the construction phase?
  • Will the new federal tax law affect them?

Thilo Tecklenburg, COO of prominent P3 developer Meridiam, will relate the company’s experience with these issues. EY’s Sue Lee, a senior managing director, and Glenn M. Johnson, a principal in the firm’s U.S. National Tax Department, will discuss P3-related provisions in the new tax law, including the potential impact of interest deductibility on investors.

Public owners will also want to hear these important perspectives.

All ARTBA members are welcome to participate and ask questions during the webinar, which begins at 2 p.m. Eastern. Be sure to register now. Even if you can’t listen live, register and you will receive an email afterward with the recorded audio, visual slides and bonus material.
